One of world’s leading sportswear maker Adidas has suffered a data breach exposing personal data of millions of customers.
The data breach was discovered by Adidas on June 26 and was publicly disclosed on June 28.

According to Adidas, the customers who purchased through Adidas US website are believed to be affected by the breach.
The data exposed includes contact information, usernames, and encrypted passwords. As of now no credit card and fitness information of customers was compromised.
The company did not reveal the exact number of customers affected by the breach and also said that they have started alerting the customers who were affected by the breach.
Adidas said that immediately after discovering the breach they began taking steps to determine the scope of the issue and are working with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement authorities to investigate the issue.
